Breeding cont'd [continued] This behaviour continued, with
short interuptions [interruptions], until dark.
By next morning buck was
seen to make two desultory
rushes at the doe + to fight
a broom bush for several
minutes but was for the
most part calm + unexcited.
Made no attempt to attack
me when I entered the paddock
nor showed any resentment.
Permitted the fawn to
approach closely without offering
to molest it except on
one occassion [occasion].
Examination of the doe's genitals
leads me to believe she had
been bred during the preceding
night.
