Traps held 4 Peromyscus, 1 Cleth. [Clethrionomys]
1 Phenac. [Phenacomys], 1 Zapus, 1 Sorex obscurus.
Saw 2 chipmunks - very wild, a
squirrel + shot a Myotis alascensis [underlined]
Climbed slope of Mt. [Mount] Musilow [Musclow]
for 7-800 feet. From the lake
the going looks fair but the vegetation
consists of a jungle of green alder,
devils club, hellebore, wild parsnip,
salmon berry, + willow. About 6 to
8 ft [feet] high. Many bear trails,
Dog found a porcupine.
Muselow [Musclow] Lake just to west
+ S [south] of Eutsuk + emptying into it
from W. [West] is a gem. There are
small patches of Abies grandis [underlined]+
Amabilis + Tsuga mertensiana [underlined].
