- xvii Vase h: 39.6 cm, early Kangxi (1662-1722)
This slender baluster-shaped vase, decorated in underglaze blue, bright enamels and iron red, has a scene of a maiden and attendant offering gifts to a warrior prince who is accompanied by a footman with a banner and two henchmen. There are yurts with banners and weapons, partially hidden by rocks and shrubs, in the lower section. The neck is decorated with peonies, and lotuses, and the shoulder has a band of the cracked ice pattern, a typical decorative element of the period.
