Shot a pair of soras before I realized
they had a young brood which I then
had to take.
Lac La Hache July 22/49 [1949].
Spent the day organizing my outfit
+ packing. The crew banded Elliot
Lake with encouraging success as
they took over 100 ducks of which
80 were bandable, + 6 were large
redheads previously banded on 105
mile Lake.
Kamloops. July 23/49 [1949].
Showery day. Left Lac La Hache at
10 o'clock and drove here. Tallied
ducks on Epsom Salt Lake, Clinton
Goldeneye 7 1, 5 2 + 30 others
Baldpate 8 2, 7 2
Mallard + pintail 38 +/-
Scaups several broods.
