problem - Teachers are the bottle neck. A person educated
to teach secondary school has many other opportunities
available. There are many empty schools for lack of teachers
On Mt [Mount] Kenya Bristol tried to make a wall of plastic
into the ground around his plots + clean out It
was difficult. It worked out to a rodent biomass of
2200 lbs [pounds]/sq [square] mile. In Nairobi in 1961 drought it was
72,000 lbs [pounds]/sq [square] mile including cattle. Now, with cattle
out [word crossed out] it is 36000 lbs [pounds]/sq [square] mi [mile]. 1961 - 63 + 64 figs [figures] all about
the same. Cattle are now out + will be interesting
