Flock of 50 +/- passed overhead just
at dusk. - N.E. [northeast]
Victoria hbr. [harbour] Mar [March] 20/36 [1936]
Large flock resting on log booms
very restless, constant rising +
wheeling together + resettling. 400 +/-
Vancouver. Nov. [November] 8/42 [1942].
Autopsied an adult picked up among
50 +/- dead birds at Lost Lagoon. No blood
parasites or coccidia. Condition good but
intestine badly inflamed - particularly
in duodenal region - Poison indicated
but intestine empty. Petroleum oil poisoning see Bathis letter.

A very few of these birds were
up the river among the huge
flocks of Glaucous-w. [winged] gulls feeding
on dead salmon.
