- June 10 (contd [continued]) [1941]
After lunch at cabin drove N. [north] past
Pass lake + up old gold mine road to
about 3700' [feet] elevation. Found nest
of goshawk; collected female and
3 young from nest. Returned to
McQueen Lake at dusk where silver-
haired bat was shot by [Ian McTaggart] Cowan. Back
to cabin after dark.
11th [June 11, 1941]
Packed up and drove to Kamloops
by 11:30 AM. Spent afternoon skinning
+ preparing specimens for trip home.
Visited [E. Ronald] Buckell, [George J.] Spencer, [G.A.] Mails +
[John D.] Gregson's in evening.
12th [June 12, 1941]
Up at 4:30 + left by 6 A.M.
Drove straight through to Vancouver
arriving about 3:30 P.M. Supper
at [Kenneth] Racey's. Midnight boat to
Victoria.
