Jan [January] 1. 1936. Alta Lake. B.C. [British Columbia]
Examined two Pika nests in
the cut at Nita Lake. One was
in the shed roof of the powder
house. This animal had two
burrows through the snow
down to the railroad grade.
Another tunnel ran to the
adjacent patches of bear berry [underlined]
+ false box. Several quarts
of fresh twigs of these
plants made up the bulk
of the pile.
