Rusty Blackbirds Blue Creek: May 28/44 [1944] First saw this species at a small beaver pond near Wabasso Lake - 2 [male symbol] + 1 [female symbol] - latter had white eye. Next saw 3 birds at Willow Creek that sounded + looked like this species but I was not able to get close. Here there is a small colony preparing to nest in the spruce between Snake Indian River + Lakes. Watched copulation today + collected a [male symbol] for positive identification.
