- 10 Pot d: 9.5 cm, early Kangxi (1662-1722)
This bulbous blue and white pot is decorated with two four- clawed dragons amidst flames contending over a flaming pearl, and with a �ling zhi� (mushroom of immortality) motif behind them. The upper rim is covered with a brown slip, and the base has an underglaze blue leaf mark.
11 Ginger Jar h: 19.4 cm, early Kangxi (1662-1722)
The exterior of this large ginger jar, painted in underglaze blue and red and accentuated by use of incision, is decorated with magnolias, peonies, a pheasant on a rock, and other birds in flight and perched on a cherry tree. Narrow borders at the top and bottom are painted with convolvulus, prunus spray, peony and chrysanthemums. There is a six-character mark of Jiajing in a double circle on the base.
