Aug [August] 27th 1921 - One seen flying near
H Horstmans ranch between Alpha +
Nita Lakes. Mr Horstman stated that
two pairs nested in the tall fir trees
near his house, also mentioned
having seen number at Squamish. [all underlined]
Aug. [August] 19th 1921. Game Warden Cameron at
Ladner mentioned that there were many
pigeons about + that they were very
destructive also that he intended
applying to Mr J.A. Munro for permits
for a couple of farmers to shoot the pigeons
Sept. [September] 8th Mr J.A. Munro states that B.T. [band-tailed]
Pigeons were very common on these [illegible word] +
that he had secured nine [underlined] specimens [underlined].
6/22/24. [June 6 1924] One seen at Pemberton B.C.
flying overhead.
Mons, B.C. [British Columbia] July 26/27 [1927]. Three seen flying towards
Horstman's ranch - flew across N [crossed out] Nita Lake.
Pit Meadow B.C. [British Columbia] May 4/29 [1929].
A flock of 26 birds seen flying
across the meadows.
Vancouver B.C. [British Columbia] April 11. 1937 [all underlined]
Two Band-tailed pigeons seen this
afternoon near lookout on Marine Drive
Point Gray. These are the first noticed
this year.
Huntingdon B.C. [British Columbia] Aug. [August] 7. 1938. Saw a flock of 26
B.T. [band-tailed] pigeons flying over ranch towards Colls[?] grain
field.
North Vancouver B.C. [British Columbia] April 21. 1940
First B.T. [band-tailed] pigeons seen this year. Two on
dead tree top between Jones Ave. + Lonsdale
between 25 + 24th Sts [streets].
