- Synaptomys.
Tupper Creek, B.C. [British Columbia] June 28, 1938.
Today located a colony of these mice
in a sphagnum muskeg just east
of Charlie Lake [words crossed out] Tupper Creek School. Here the vegetation
is dwarf willow, small spruce,
cotton grass, dwarf raspberry + sedge.
The mice had the sphagnum riddled
with runs + in a few places we
found cuttings. These were either [word crossed out] both
cotton grass + sedge in equal
amounts.
