The two were at the big lick
on Job creek flats.

Saw 1 bull + 1 cow lower down the
river. Cow looked poor + had not yet
completed molt.

Saw 3 bulls today + noted much winter
sign in the timberline balsam scrub.
Here the moose had sheltered winter beds in
the lee of the scrub thickets + had eaten
every branch of sometimes an entire
thicket - Photographed one such.
