A/amban/southern barbarian style helmet, visor turn�backs with mon (family crest) of the Tokugawa; armour has decoration of Amida Buddha and Buddhist arhats. The heavy suit of armour is too cumbersome to have been used in battle and would have been mainly for show, probably belonging to a daimyo (feudal lord).
