Marshy stream on edge of 1922 burn,
1938 burn + primitive area.
Dominant vegetation is hedge
nettle, mimulus, Boykinia,
Tiarella, Salmonberry, Thimble
berry, flowering rush,
fine sdge, Cinna,
Oenanthe, veratrum, Galium
Ranunculus Bongardi [?], Epilobium
adenocaulon, Veronica.
Scattered plants of Purslane,
Sambucus. Lyschiton [Lysichiton] Ribes lacustre
+ alder. Some willow.
So far the Salmonberry, hedge
nettle, Mimulus, Rush, Oenanthe
, Epilobium + Sambucus have
been heavily eaten, the
Ribes + purslane slightly + the
others not noticeably.
Ribes leucoderm + Carduus edulis,
both eaten but occur only
on the dryer part of the
streambank.
