First white-crown heard singing
this morning. Weather has been
fine for about a week.
Several others heard Apl. [April] 4, 1936.
Victoria, B.C. [British Columbia] Mar. [March] 24, 1939.
1st [first] whitecrowns singing today
Victoria Aug. [August] 31, 1939.
Tonight heard sparrows I think of
this species, passing overhead.
Victoria Feb. [February] 4/40 [1940].
Several (8-12) Zonotrichias
in the park today, Some still
had juv. [juvenile] head color + I
was unable to decide whether
they were white-crowns or
golden-crowns.

Victoria Mar. [March] 21/40 [1940]
A singing [male symbol] pugettensis [underlined] in
the park. No doubt about race.
On Mar. [March] 25 several others seen.

Found nest with 4 newly hatched
young.
