June 6. Three nests in [word crossed out] on two Abuntlet Islands, one in
poplar stub; two in trees (willow + alder) in
crows nests. no. [number] eggs 10, 6 + 8.
One long dead drake by one island. Cause of
death undeterminable.
June 24. nest 8 eggs as above - abuntlet 20

were hatching, several young being nearly out. We
collected two.
June 28 Dean River: two broods:- 9 + 7 yg. [young]
Abuntlet Islands
nest - 8 eggs, as above.
Others hatched. Two unhatched eggs in the 10 egg
nest. One was infertile, the other contained a well
developed yg. [young] bird.
July 5. Brood 11 yg [young] near camp in little Anahim

July 8 River near P.O. [Post Office] - [female symbol] with 1 downy.
July 9 Broods - abuntlet - 15' + 7 yg. [young]
Dean river - 7 yg. [young]
Anahim 4 yg. [young]
