  • Myotis californicus [underlined] Sandspit. Aug. [August] 21/46 [1946] This bat was not seen at Q.C. [Queen Charlotte] city or Rose Hbr. [harbour] but I saw several here this evening + took 1. These bats were flying low + erratically in a clearing among open stands of old second- growth spruce. " [Sandspit] Aug. [August] 26/46 [1946]. Shot another of these in the same place + under same circumstances.
