white earth goat lick on the east side
of the creek. Well worn trails come
down to it from both sides.
About 5 miles upstream from the
highway there is a small muck lick
used by moose.
Game seen: 4 moose

Pobokton Pass. July 4, 1944
Rode up here - 6 mi [miles] in about 2 hours.
We are camped about 3/4 mile below
the junction of the two trails.
There are about 4 moose licks
along the N [North] side of the valley, one in
the timber just above our camp,
the others further east + above tumblers
This afternoon we climbed into
Indian Pass, then continued east
until opposite the summit of Pobokton
Pass. Shot a large [male symbol] caribou there
+ didn't get back to camp until
7:15.
Game seen 15 moose
8 Caribou
2 deer
1 elk.
4 goat (at Waterfalls cabin).
