An adult bird picked a red phalarope
off the water close by the bow of the
boat when we were passing Redfern
Island on July 30.
A juvenile circled the boat just
as we sighted Kunghit. Island.
Sandspit. Sept [September] 1/46 [1946].
Saw a young bird here today, it
flew overhead down by the marsh
at a height of 150' [feet] or so, altogether
in the month we have seen
falcons 8 times.
