- Lepus townsendi [underlined] [Lepus townsendii]
Osoyoos, B.C. May 24, 1941.
According to tracks this rabbit is still
tolerably abundant in the vicinity. On the
sand dunes they seem to spend much time playing
and every dune bears their tracks. On two oc-
casions I have seen tracks that seemed to in-
dicate attempted or actual copulation.
Shot one large [female symbol], it contained 6 foetuses
75 mm. [millimeter] in length - extended.
Penticton, B.C. May 31, 1941.
Tracks quite numerous around White Lake, also
around pot hole 7 miles south of Okanagan Falls.
Shot a small male on the north slope.
