  • Band-Tail Pigeon. Feb. [February] 5, 1936. Victoria, B.C. [British Columbia] P.W. [Patrick Waldyve] Martin of Albert Head, V.I. [Vancouver Island], B.C. [British Columbia] today told me that last week end he saw a pair of these pigeons on Albert Head. He has seen them repeatedly all winter. They have wintered in the timber near the tip of the head, subsisting almost entirely on Arbutus berries. April 21, 1940. N. [North] Vancouver. Saw two of these birds today near our house.
