White estimates 125 beaver
between Yellowhead + Giekie +
comments that the survival of
young is very low.
Food:- Examined the dam + lodge about
a mile from the boundary. The
winter food was largely aspen
which they are cutting at least
100 yards from water.
Near the water they had cut a
few alders + at the moment had
just felled two Jack pine +
were eating the foliage +
branches. Noted the same
thing on Buffalo Prairie the
other day.
