Clearwater Cabin
Only beavers on Clearwater are across from
Indianhead Cabin + thus out of the park.
There is a small colony near the head
of Snow Creek.

Saw colonies at head of Little Pipestone
+ at head of Red deer. Both in country
devoid of aspen.

One defunct colony on Cr [creek] running S [south] from
Jones Pass.
Jacques Lake Aug. [August] 7/43 [1943]
A fair beaver colony in the
outlet stream + possibly others in the
inlet stream. Saw one swimming in
the lake.
Jasper, Alta [Alberta] - Aug [August] 12/43 [1943]
The once populous colonies on Talbot
Lake etc seem now to be abandoned.
All willows are gone + all poplars
only the birches remain.
A small colony in a slough 3 miles
N [north] of the city.

Several small colonies here and
two other colonies between here + Deer
Creek. A colony at Willow Creek just
below the cabin.
