Saw a coyote hunting groundsquirrels at our
last campsite.
Pellets: 1 whistler (June)
1 callospermophilus + ochotona (June)

1 sparrow + microtus (June)
1 elk early
Same local July 29/43 [1943]
Much fresh coyote sign + pellets on trail
to indicate possibly 2 prs [pairs] in here since early
spring.
Brazeau Lake. July 31/43 [1943]
No fresh coyote sign along trail today.
Just below cabin examined 1 pellet
June or July 100% deer [word crossed out] calf moose hair.
4 spring 100% elk.
Cairn Cabin, Aug [August] 3/43 [1943]
Fresh coyote tracks + saw one
small ([female symbol]?) coyote digging at a whistler
burrow. Saw no droppings + nothing
to indicate much of a population.
Along the lower Brazeau E [east] of Isaac Cr. [creek]
winter + spring droppings moderateley abundant.
