Some rain during the night, a light drizzle + the day dawned cold + bleak but cleared to warm sun by 11 o'clock. Clouded again at 2 + drizzling by 10 P.M. Traps at the lake held 2 microtus p. Left camp at 2 + ran down the river + along the channel to our present camp at the caribou lookout On the way we ran up the second channel N [North] of here into a large barren, tundra lake. Not even a water bird of any kind on it. Some beaver sign at the exit from the lake.
