seen.
We were disturbed repeatedly by Pack rats gnawing
under the shack + porcupines gnawing
outside it last night, so
set out some traps.
Mr [Kenneth] Racey took 2 Synaptomys.

Weather still fine, saw
a coyote hunting marmots.
traps held nothing but one
squirrel
Before breakfast I climbed
to the foot of the cliffs
+ shot a Leucosticte -
saw another.
After breakfast the 3
of us climbed the mt. [mountain]
east of camp. On the way I shot another Leucosticte
+ saw 2 others. On top
we saw a golden eagle,
2 Pikas a chipmunk +
secured a Callospermophilus.
Later, while descending
