This morning in the mist 2 bulls
+ a cow were feeding on the
meadow in front of the cabin.
Food Later another large bull was
seen eating Shepherdia. [underlined]
Jacques Lake July 22/44. [1944]
En route from Rocky Forks saw
2 bulls + a cow + calf. The two last
were at the Sulphur Spring about
9 miles below the Forks
Medicine Lake. July 23/44 [1944]
One large bull feeding in Beaver
Lake.
Maligne Lake. July 24/44 [1944]
On way here saw 2 cows +
one calf.

Jim [Simpson] saw 2 [female symbol[ 1 calf + 1 bull up near
Little Shovel Pass. Ed Macdonald saw
a [female symbol] at Mona Lake.
Ed reports that the moose use the
sulphur spring on the Rocky during
the winter as well as in the
summer.
Yoho Park, Aug. [August] 1/44. [1944]
Saw a yearling [female symbol] moose today at the
lick just below Emerald Creek.
Two moose have been killed
by trains in the last couple of weeks
but according to Langford moose are
[marginalia] food
