After lunch (Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] made it!) Nancy [Mahoney]
and I walked around Westwick Lake
watching Grebes. We saw one Horned
Grebe down in the marsh at the
south end.
There were about a dozen horses
in the pasture at the S.E. [southeast] end of Westwick,
and some cattle at the S.W. [southwest] end.
There was fresh down on Matilda's
nest box with the trial recorder on it.
Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] rode around on his bicycle
checking nests after lunch.
Nancy [Mahoney]'s hands have been bothering
her, and she soaked them in baking
soda tonight after dinner. She's
hoping the allergy reaction will go
down soon.
Westwick Lake Wed. [Wednesday] May 11, 1955
Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] got up and made breakfast
(good, too.) Nancy walked around
Sorenson, watching Grebes. Close
to camp - across the road on Westwick
Lake, she saw a spotted sandpiper.
Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] and I walked up to Goldeneye
lake, to repair Lady Jane's nest
site. The pintail by the dead
horse's head has 9 eggs.
This afternoon it rained, with
