Set up a trap on the east side of
the first lake S [South] of town, locally
known as Epsom Salt Lake. Took
116 ducks in it, all but 6 of them
Scaup + Goldeneye.
The majority of the goldeneye are
still flightless, only about 25% took
off when disturbed. Virtually none
of the scaups can fly yet, certainly
none of the ads. [adults]

The two swans permitted very close approach
