  • one Yellowhead [male symbol] by itself. Banded: 91 goldeneye; 11 bufflehead 3 lesser scaup; 3 ruddy ducks; 20 eared grebes. Repeats: 3 [female symbol] goldeneye and 3 eared grebes. Westwick Lake Sunday, Aug. [August] 7. Weather: cloudy with showers. Ron [McKie] had to drive down to Watson Lake to get an oar which was forgotten, so we didn't get any banding done. We caught up on camp chores, and finished mending the canoe. Westwick Lake Monday, August 8 1955 Weather: cloudy and cold Banded Sorenson Lake. We set out early to band Donnelley, but the truck broke down. When we had finished banding Sorenson it broke down again, so we'll take it into town and get it fixed tomorrow Banded: 20 goldeneye; 32 lesser scaup; 2 baldpate; 1 ruddy; 1 coot; 5 eared grebes; 2 repeat [female symbol] scaup.
