- Journal. May 10. + myrtle warblers abundant. One Solitary Sandpiper, + a pair of Barrows Golden eye. Later went down to mile 22 on the east highway working the sheep. Saw a sharp-tailed sparrow in the reeds beside the lake at Mile 21 Game seen. Elk Deer Sheep. Jasper. May 11, 1946 Visited the coyote traps this morning + found that one arrived had pulled out of a set while another trap held a Golden Eagle. Census:- Elk. 11 In afternoon went shopping. Jasper. May 12, 1946. Worked our coyote line in the morning + again in the evening without any luck. Two crows caught in traps. In afternoon hauled wood from an abandoned beaver dam near here.
