- Whistling Swan. [underlined] Comox V.I. [Vancouver Island] B.C. [British Columbia] Nov. [November] 17/34 [1934] The Laings mentioned having seen two females going down the bay. Comox BC [British Columbia] Nov. [November] 19/34 When up on Constitution Hill heard a flock of these birds calling as they flew southward. Laing said he thought there was a lone goose with the flock. Two were seen by P.W. Racey on a lake about 20 miles South of Vidette B.C. [British Columbia] Nov. [November] [space left blank] 1934 Seventeen swan were reported on Swan Lake Vernon B.C. [British Columbia] Nov. [November] [space left blank] 1934. Went to [J.A.] Munros but found they had left. Later heard that about 40 birds had gone through.
