- The lid of this covered box, painted in underglaze blue of violet tone, has a central medallion with a scene of a mandarin seated at a table attended by seven tall slender maidens, some serving and others playing musical instruments. This is surrounded by the popular �hundred boys5 5 motif, which is also found on the underside.
8 Cup d: 8.4 cm, early Kangxi (1662-1722)
This blue and white cup, with flared rim covered with brown slip commonly found at this period, has a scene of huts and willow trees on an island with a moored boat, and a fisherman on the water. The cyclical mark in a circle on the base, da Qing wushen nian zhi, corresponds to 1668.
