- blubber is cutt [cut] into a series of attached squares + hung up to dry for muktuk. The tail + flippers are used for muk tuk also. This is boiled + eaten fresh; cut up fine + eaten raw or dried + eaten later with seal or whale oil ([illegible word crossed out] urlsuk [uqhuq or uqsuq]) I tried muktuk raw + boiled The raw has a nutty flavour not unpleasant except for the oily taste that goes with it. Boiled it is quite tasty, particularly so if most of the blubber is removed from it. Head, liver, lungs + viscera are discarded. Meat hung up to dry for dog food.
