Dear fellow Chinese,
It is confirmed that there were some Chinese who died and injured in a train collision near Winnipeg. We are instructed that the names of the dead and the injured should be confirmed and listed to claim compensation from the Train Company. We tried to hire lawyers in Winnipeg for this case, but we could not get a satisfactory reply. Then we sent a telegram to hire lawyers in Montreal. While waiting for reply from Montreal, we reported to the Chinese Consolidated Benevolence Association to ask them for assistance in handling this issue.
