The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is indeed very fortunate to have a large collection of calligraphy, paintings and other paraphernalia of the literati style of both China and Japan, and this augmented by literati items from private collections makes for an intriguing exhibition.
We would to thank the private lenders to this exhibition, in particular to Dr. Jordan Paper for not only lending numerous items to the exhibition, but also for assisting with the writing of the catalogue and installation of the exhibition.
The professionalism and dedication of the Gallery staff have also been vital to the exhibition. Special thanks are due to Mary-ellen Threadkell and Paula Swart for editing the text, Ann Tighe, Chris Russell and Dave Seager for the installation and organization of the exhibition�s national tour, and Bob Matheson for much of the photography. Special thanks must also go to Guy Buchholtzer for his translation of the text into French.
