including a doe + very small fawn.

Saw 1 [female symbol]
1 [female symbol] with spike yearling.
1 sex ? in [word crossed out]
in 19 miles W. [west] of here today.
Moult:- does in red pelage
yearling moulting.

Saw tracks up Tokumm Creek 8 miles
+ saw an ad [adult] [male symbol] near Marble Canyon.
Vermilion Crossing. June 28/43. [1943]
Saw 13 ad [word crossed out] [female symbol] + 1 fawn today between
mile 17 + Blacks camp 4 miles N [north] of Hawk
creek. Several other [female symbol]'s were nursing
as witness size of udder.
At least 4 of these deer were yearlings.
Whitetails using lick along with moose
+ elk.
