July [space left blank] 1923. Two seen by creek at Mons B.C. [British Columbia]
June 15th + 16th everywhere abundant
one [male symbol] #504 taken June 16. 1923 [underlined with arrow pointing to next line]
A nest found in low red osier red osier [written in red] bush
about 15" [inches] from ground. Contained 3 eggs. Nest
composed of hay, leaves + grass + lined with fine rootlets + horse hair
[female symbol] seen. Identity positive.
July 30. 1929. Cowichan Lake VI [Vancouver Island] B.C. [British Columbia] About a dozen
seen about camp in trees on Lake Shore.
Alta Lake B.C. [British Columbia] Aug [August] 23rd 1937. A juv [juvenile] seen
with other birds migrating during early morning
another seen + taken in p.m. [evening] no [number] 2306.
Huntingdon B.C. [British Columbia] Sept [September] 4 + 5. 1938. Several
seen in Burtons place in farm bush +
brush piles. S.E. [southeast] corner in company
with Lutescent + yellow warblers. Took
a yg [young] [female symbol].
Alta Lake B.C. [British Columbia] June 29 + 30 July 1st
1941. Large numbers of these shy [illegible word]
warblers nesting here this year. About
ten pairs nesting about the Lake.
