Black bear 02 (1943) : Vermillion Crossing

A black bear sitting on a branch attached a few feet in thee air between two trees in a forest. Large, bulky, carnivorous mammals with highly variable weights ranging in adults from 125 to over 600 pounds. Color varies from jet black through brown, bluish to white, depending upon geographic location. (Family: ursidae; binomial name: ursus americanus)
