• Oct 9 Sat. Honor went early: fine day. 14 pages Belisarius & checking L's friendship recommendation. Walked to Cranleigh & back: bought shrimps & cranberries: dark passage through woods. Harry & Alix did not return as expected: so Karl, L & I had supper alone & played a tailorless game of 66.
