Chinese Cemetery, Memorial Services
PublicShows four men at a memorial service. Two men were standing in front of two incinerator towers and one man was kowtowing on the kneeling slab while another one was preparing things on the altar platform. Incinerator towers and the altar platform serve as visual and ceremonial focal points at Chinese Cemetery memorial services. Each tower contains a small firebox in which mock paper money and other ceremonial offerings are burned. Altar platform and a kneeling slab situated between the two towers, food offerings are placed on the remainder of the altar surface. Catalogue number: HP096293; Association number: 193501-001.
