Hoary marmot (1930) : Banff

A marmot walking out of a crack between two rocks. The hoary marmot inhabits the mountains of northwest North America and lives near the tree line on slopes with grasses and forbs (herbacious flowering plants) to eat and rocky areas for cover. (Family: sciuridae; binomial name: marmota caligata).
