Public

San Juan boundary. Atlas (set of maps marked 'A' to 'O'). [Juan de Fuca, Strait, 1795; 1873]. Title supplied by cataloger. Series consists of reprints of either complete or parts of maps originally published between 1790-1859. All pertain to the San Juan Boundary dispute. Published by Harrison & Sons, Photo-Lith. St. Martins Lane [London 1873]. This copy shows Berlin printer only "Lith. Inst v Th. Mettke, Berlin, Wilhelmstr. 122." Reprint of map probably extracted from "Atlas maritimo español. Cadiz, 1795. Probably based on the work of José Cardero, the official cartographer and artist of the voyage. At top right "Num. 1". "L". Insets: Canal de la Salida de las Goletas ; "Advertencia". Relief shown by hachures. Depths shown by soundings.
