Transcript

• Oct 17 Monday. All morning & afternoon cleaning out the smutted rooms: with help from Alan & Yvonne & Leonie. Not much damage after all. Very sleepy: but dictionary with Alan. In the evening we resumed 7 ¼, and then I went to bed, read Wodehouse's Summer Moonshine , slept The wash-barrel tub came from the menuisier after 4 weeks.
