Mountain District

The Mountain District located adjacent to the Nanaimo (belonging to the Hudson Bay Company), Wellington, and Cranberry Districts on the east coast of Vancouver Island. Relief markings show the land forms including several mountains and the land is divided into numbered plots. Named places and features include the Dunsmuirs Coal Reserve, Diver Lake Wellington District, Departure Bay, Long Lake, Nanaimo Harbour, River Chase, Newcastle Island, and Douglas Island.
