North America no 10 of 1873. 2 sea miles to one inch. Foreign Office. [Juan de Fuca, Strait, 1872; 1873]. At head of title: North America, West Coast. From the Admiralty surveys of Captains H. Kellett, R.N., 1847 and G. H. Richards, R.N. 1858-62, Drawn by Edward J. Powell; Malby & Sons, Lith. Depths shown by soundings in fathoms. Relief shown by hachures and spot heights. Shows detailed topography and bathymetry of the Straits of Juan de Fuca and waters between Straits of Georgia and Admiralty Inlet. Identifies islands, coastal features, reefs. banks, kelp beds, point of anchorage and mountain peaks. Also gives information on lighthouses, bottom types and tides. Boundary line is shaded red on the side of British possessions, blue on the side of the American possessions. MS note transcribed below.
