Statue of Lord Guan (Kwan Kung) and picture of Hong Men Society's founders

Public

Statue of Lord Guan is positioned within the altar. Kwan Kung, also called Guan Yu (關羽, 关羽), was the greatest general of the Three Kingdoms. Because of his loyalty to his country and his integrity as an individual, he is worshiped by many Chinese people today, especially in southern China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong and their descendants overseas. A picture of the founders of the Hong Men Society is placed in front of the statue. “洪門始祖” is at the top of the picture. Photo taken on July 7, 2011.
