Living sea 12 (1957-07-18) : man in the sea
PublicA series of documentary kinescopes with filmed inserts dealing with the sea and sea life. Hosted by Ian McTaggart-Cowan. Dr. Cowan and Mr. Will Lowther, who was in charge of the operational diving unit of HMSC Naden Esquimalt, showed the diving training in the navy and discussed how they solved the diving-related problems, caused by temperature, gas and pressure. Mr. Lowther also introduced different diving gears including the newest equipment in the 1950s. By using these technologies people could reach sea bottom and study the creatures there.
