• Sept 8 Thursday Proofs all day again until midnight. I had a short break at 4 o'clock to do a little of my own Poems proofs. Eileen Walker, friend of Beryl's, trained & walked from St Jacut on the coast. A contretemps about the black kitten: Beryl became possessive.
